How to care for jewelry?

Jewelry is something associated with durability, eternity and timeless beauty. There is a lot of truth in this - necklaces, earrings and bracelets never become old or useless. However, this does not mean that they do not deserve special treatment. Jewelry that has been affected by time or is worn frequently - although it does not become less valuable - may lose its charm or simply be destroyed. How to take care of your jewelry so that it always delights you? You just need to remember a few rules.

You should always take off your jewelry to sleep . It is safe both for its owner and for the decorations themselves. While sleeping, it is easy to get creases, tears and any other mechanical injuries.

Remember to store your jewelry properly , in designated containers, e.g. boxes made of soft material, away from other items. Each piece of jewelry should be hidden in a separate fabric bag. This will prevent earrings from getting tangled with necklaces, as well as jewelry elements rubbing against each other, which may lead to damage.

You should avoid contact of jewelry with chemicals, water or sweat, so take it off when bathing (also in salt water), during sports, cleaning, beauty treatments, and even avoid contact with perfumes. Otherwise, the jewelry may lose its shine, blacken, discolor or simply be damaged as a result of chemical reactions. Although such caution seems exaggerated, it is definitely worth taking, because unfortunately damage caused in such situations is not subject to complaint and is considered to be the result of inappropriate use that does not comply with the recommendations.
